My Counseling Approach

I agree with Carl Rogers who said, “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” His theory embraces unconditional positive regard. Being seen and heard leads to acceptance, this leads to positive self-concepts, this leads to taking care of oneself.

Having a safe place to talk about issues is where the work begins. I believe in facilitating the process for the client to solve their own problems while showing compassion and care for their dilemmas. As the client draws their own conclusions, together we will set goals to achieve the desired outcomes.

My goal is to partner with my client by providing compassion and care during the therapeutic process. I want to come along side each client to support, challenge and encourage my client to find healing in all areas of life.
